The Tattoo

It curved around her fat arm with five letters and a butterfly. It only cost fifty dollars, but it still was a disgrace. she was only 13, how could she ever get a job? her parents didn't approve of her decision but she didn't care, the world revolved around her. All of her friends had them and she just wanted to fit in. She wasn't thinking. She felt like it was her body and she could do whatever she wanted to. That wasn't the case. one day in school they split everyone up. All of the people with no piercings and no tattoos were on one side and all of the people with were on the other. A representative from the heath department came and gave a speech. She told them that if they don't go to the right people with the right needles then are prone to disease. They were all tested. Unfortunately she tested positive for HIV. her life went crumbling down. She hadn't even had sex before, and she already had a disease. She regretted trying to be like her friends and wondered why she couldn't just be by herself. live for herself and not others. That decision she made changed her life forever. how would she have kids or live past thirty, she just didn't know what to do.
